Cremation Services
If your family has chosen cremation, we offer affordable services that help celebrate the life of your loved one while giving you several options for a public gathering, and a final resting place.
Traditional Funeral Service followed by Cremation
Many families find meaning and beauty in a traditional funeral service. With a traditional service combined with cremation, you can still choose to have a final viewing, visitation or wake, and a funeral service. However instead of in-ground burial, the funeral will be followed by cremation. Depending on your wishes, the cremated remains may be either returned to your family for storage in an urn, scattered, or interred in a columbarium. This option will include fees for the funeral services as well as the fees associated with the cremation itself.
Memorial Service
The memorial service can be held in our chapel, a church, or any other venue the family chooses. We work with our families to design a service that honors their loved one with stories, music, or scripture. We also have life celebrants that lead services where clergy may not be chosen. Our celebrants are trained in creating experiences that help start the healing process.
Graveside Service
A graveside or committal service is typically held immediately following the funeral service but it can also be a small intimate gathering of those closest to you.

Concern #1 – Understanding cremation prices
The total price of a cremation consists of multiple expenses including; the funeral home’s fee, the crematory fee, all necessary legal permits, an alternative cremation container and an urn for the remains.
Unfortunately, some cremation prices quoted over the phone only include one or two of the expenses. The additional fees are only disclosed once the family meets with the funeral director.
At Johnson-Nosek, we are the only funeral home in the area to offer all-inclusive pricing. Our quoted price is often lower than our competitors and always includes everything you will need for the cremation service.
Concern #2 – Having the opportunity to say goodbye one last time
Saying goodbye to your loved one is never easy. Unfortunately, in today’s culture, many people try to skip this step. The sad reality is that failing to say goodbye to someone you love leaves emotional wounds that may never heal.
At Johnson-Nosek, when possible every family is given the opportunity for a private farewell in our beautiful chapel. If a public visitation is planned, the private farewell is typically scheduled to precede the public time.
On a practical level, this is an important step in our security procedures. On an emotional level, this private time helps family members as they mourn their loss.
Concern #3 – Finding a place for a ceremony
Over 80% of cremations in the Brookfield area include some form of funeral ceremony or memorial service. Traditionally, families have turned to their local church for the ceremony. But today many families are seeking other options.
To meet this need, Johnson-Nosek Funeral Home offers a large, newly remodeled chapel with comfortable seating, state-of-the-art multimedia equipment, a lounge area and ample parking.
In addition, we have carefully selected individuals who are available to lead the ceremony. Whether a family wishes traditional prayers lead by an ordained minister or a non-denominational ceremony lead by a funeral celebrant, we have trained professionals available to meet the need.
Concern #4 – Taking care of everything else
All too often family members receive the cremated remains and are left wondering...now what? At Johnson-Nosek, our unique After Care Program helps families in both practical and emotional ways.
To help with your practical needs, our team will provide you guidance on issues such as filing for death benefits and choosing a final resting place for the remains. We also have an exclusive partnership with Home Helpers® to provide in-home care if desired.
To support your emotional needs, our After-Care Specialist will offer a wealth of information to help you on your grief journey. We also provide referrals to local grief counselors.
