Robert was a proud graduate of De La Salle High School and a man whose Catholic faith was an important part of his life.
Robert James Daraskevich, age 83 of LaGrange Park, formerly of Chicago. Beloved father of Mark (Debra) Daraskevich and Elizabeth (Michael) Shaw, cherished grandfather of Maxwell Daraskevich, Delilah Daraskevich and the late Alexander Shaw, loving fiancé of Guadalupe Alvarez, dear brother of the late Donald (Janina) Daraskevich, late Dorothy (late George) Stalun and the late Anthony Daraskevich, dear uncle to many. Robert is also survived by his former partner and mother of his children, Lynn Decker.
Robert was a proud graduate of De La Salle High School and a man whose Catholic faith was an important part of his life. A devout Catholic, he generously gave his time, talents and heart to his Catholic community, always willing to help and serve others. He dedicated his professional life to helping children as a special education teacher, a career that reflected his patience, compassion and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. Robert will be remembered for his strong faith, his dedication to his family and community, and the many lives he touched throughout his life.
