Patricia Ann Bustos (née Fliss), 79, of Berwyn/Brookfield, Illinois, passed away on September 23, 2026. Patricia lived most of her life in Berwyn and Brookfield, Illinois. She worked for Bell Telephone Company, where she met her husband, Richard Gandara Bustos, who preceded her in death on December 11, 1999. After starting her family, Patricia went on to become a librarian at St. Mary of Celle, the same school and parish where her children attended and where she remained an active part of the community.

Patricia found deep joy in watching her children grow up, and later in being a loving presence in the lives of her grandchildren. She had a passion for gardening and baking, and she cherished being part of her family's milestones and everyday moments alike — whether in person or cheering them on from afar.

Patricia is survived by her three children: Kari (Kevin) Cantwell, and their children Teya and Tanner; Michele (fiancé William), and her children Aaron, Emma, and Noah; and Michael (Marybeth), and their daughter Kelsey and her sisters Catharine Fliss and Lee (Charles) Mitch. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gandara Bustos, and her brothers, Thomas Fliss and Ronald Fliss.
