Lisa Marie Mathey, MSN, APRN-NP, FNP-BC, SANE-A, SANE-P, nee Bogacki, age 48 of Western Springs. Beloved wife of Matt Mathey, loving mother of Matthew Mathey, Grace Mathey, Scarlett Mathey and the late Madeline Mathey, cherished daughter of Edwin and Karen (nee Rudnick) Bogacki, dear sister of Denise (Troy) Clayton, Amy (Mike) Tittelbach, Rebecca (Milan) Letica and sister in law of Craig Mathey, Mary Mathey and the late Dina Mathey, fond aunt of Holly (Payton) Hultmark, Charlie Tittelbach, Owen Tittelbach, Max Letica, Emilia Letica, Alexandra Letica, Mila Letica, Ashley (Steven) Solis, Joseph Mathey-Arlowski and Elizabeth Arlowski.
Lisa dedicated her life to caring for others through her work as a family nurse practitioner for 23 years at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago in the emergency room. She served as an advanced practice provider manager and as the sexual assault nurse examiner coordinator, roles in which she provided compassionate care, leadership, and advocacy for countless children and families. In recognition of her outstanding commitment to healthcare and patient care, she was honored with the Clinical Excellence Award presented by the Illinois Department of Public Health and Illinois Emergency Medical Services for Children.
Lisa lived life with enthusiasm, curiosity and a spirit that drew people in wherever she went. She enjoyed attending concerts, looked forward to the excitement and tradition of the Kentucky Derby and loved trying new things and creating new experiences with family and friends. Outgoing and full of energy, she had a way of making everyone feel welcome and leaving lasting memories with those fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
