Jim Bone, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Jim was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and respected businessman. In September 1971, at just 19 years old, Jim helped establish Bone Roofing Supply alongside his parents, Clay and Hope, and his identical twin brother, Jack. For more than five decades, his dedication, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence helped shape the family-owned business into what it is today.

Outside of work, Jim enjoyed golfing, cheering on his beloved Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks, and indulging in his favorite Dairy Queen Oreo Blizzards. He will be remembered for his generosity, attention to detail, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his family and the business he helped build.

Jim is survived by his three children, Jason Bone (Lisa Tereszkowski), Dennis (Alexis) Bone and Valerie (Jonathan) Grey; their mother, Janis Bone; six grandchildren; and his identical twin brother, Jack Bone.

In accordance with Jim's wishes, no formal services will be held.

 A celebration of his life will take place at a later date, with details to be announced.
