Jeanne Marcella Biggs

Jeanne M. Biggs, 85, of Downers Grove, formerly of LaGrange passed away March 16, 2023. Fond mother of Deborah Tucker and the late Diane Crider. Grandmother of Jason Powell, Timothy Powell, Kevin Biggs and Shaina Tucker. Great Grandmother of Grayson Biggs, T. J. Powell, Devin Spears, Gavin Biggs and Kody Tucker.  Jeanne is survived by her brothers John, James (Marge) and Thomas (Cyndi) Massarello and by her sisters Judith Hanke and Cynthia Massarello. She was a loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother LaVerne, her father Joseph and her sister Susan Masarello.

Jeanne graduated Morton East High School in 1956.  Jeanne built her professional skills through various positions including Tricon Industries Inc., licensed real estate agent in the Downers Grove area. She then graduated from Bryman School as a certified dental assistant.

After retiring she volunteered her time and received the Golden Heart Award from Seniors Helping Seniors.  She helped the Soroptimist International of Suburban Chicago judge their scholarship for women trying to further their career for the betterment of their family.  One of the selected recipients achieved her nursing degree and went on to become a physician assistant.  She also supported the group’s fundraisers for abused women’s shelters.
