George Charles Hejny

George Charles Hejny, age 83 of Lyons died July 26, 2025. George worked as a Bakers Assistant, later as a Truck Mechanic and then a caregiver to his mother, Louise. Born August 31, 1941, he was the beloved son of the late George Charles and late Louise (nee Cythamal) Hejny, loving brother of Sheryl (late Anthony) Jedovnicky, dear uncle of Michael and Paul Jedovnicky and companion of the late Mary Jane Britt. George is also survived by his loving and devoted caregiver Lorraine. He enjoyed walking the trails of the forest preserve with his dog Windy and vacationing in Door County, Wisconsin with his best friend Bob Schmidt, wife Sandee and their daughters.
