Denise A. Polerecky

Denise Ann Marie Polerecky née McEnerney, age 78 of Westchester, formerly of Brookfield, Cicero and Chicago passed away at her home on April 24, 2025. Denise graduated from St Mary High School in 1965, attended Morton College and was a long-time employee of Mid America Bank.

Beloved wife of the late Lud Polerecky, daughter of the late Anna and Denis McEnerney. Denise is survived by her loving sister, Mary McEnerney and longtime partner Greg Macola along with her late husband’s sons, Michael (Connie) Polerecky, Joseph (Mary) Polerecky, one step-granddaughter, Nicole Beauchamp and one great-granddaughter, Sophie Beauchamp, many fond cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

Denise loved to travel and experience new places. If there was an outdoor concert nearby, she would be there. Denise was very active with her previous Mid-America, as well as her Weight Watchers friends. Denise was a huge animal lover and was quick to pass out dog treats to all of her “fur neighbors” as they walked by her house. She was also very involved with the American Legion, Commodore Barry Post #256. Her true pride and joy were “her guys” at the Police Station and Fire Department. She volunteered for multiple organizations within the local PD, but her favorites were by far the Shop with a Cop and Cop on a Rooftop.
