Dalores A. Emeritz

Dalores A. Emeritz, age 102, of Wylie, TX, peacefully passed away on May 19, 2025. Born on April 10, 1923, she was a cherished daughter, sister, sister-in-law, niece, aunt and friend. She is survived by her lifelong friend and sister-in-law Mary Emeritz (nee Sepesy), nieces and nephews Judith Siwak (nee Emeritz), Eric Emeritz, Robert Emeritz, Colette (Rich) Siemrzuch, Christine (Steven) Turley, Mark (Monica) Emeritz, Russell (D’Ann) Schroeder, Peggy (Joey) Grover, 10 great-nieces and nephews and 10 great-great nieces and nephews; all who adored her. Dalores was predeceased by her parents, Anna (nee Klinder) and Edward Emeritz, brothers Raymond, Edmund and Wilburt Emeritz, sister Anna Lou and nephews Gary and David Emeritz.

Dalores was born in Chicago, IL, where she resided for 99 years prior to moving to the Dallas area of Texas. She retired from Sears, where she worked since graduating high school; making her way up from file clerk to buyer. Dalores loved family, friends and her Lord. She was a Girl Scout, active in AYH and LWML, enjoyed traveling, bowling on a league, golfing, fishing and camping, went ballroom dancing and exercised her entire life. She lived a long, healthy, fiercely independent life – stating moderation and exercise was the key. Dalores made friends easily and will be sorely missed.

A service to celebrate Dalores’s life will be held at Johnson-Nosek Funeral Home 3847 Prairie Avenue, Brookfield, IL on June 7, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00am with the funeral service commencing at 11:00am. This will be followed by a burial site ceremony at Forest home Cemetery in Forest Park, IL.
